Vito Acconci created in the 1960s an impressive collection of physical experiments. These actions are very crude, undermining, in which Acconci appears (and establishes the image of the artist) as a demon, wild creature. In this work, he masturbates under the floor/stage of the gallery while he indulges in sexual fantasies. An act (masculine in this case) of hide and seek. This action became whole when Marina Abramovich created her own version, a space of discovery and concealment of feminine sexuality.
