Statement
It is important for us to provide the best professional service for the students of the School of Visual Theater and its visitors. We place great importance on making our website accessible, ensuring it is tailored to enable easy access for all members of the population. To this end, we are working to make adjustments for visitors with accessibility limitations, both through direct channels and digital ones, with the aim of assisting them in improving their quality of life and enabling their integration into society with dignity, equality, and independence.
Accessibility arrangements in the school’s facilities
The building is located on the new Arts Campus in Jerusalem, 11 Bezalel Street, in a 3-story building with one elevator (from Floor 1 – (Parking) to Floor 3).
Parking – There is public parking underneath the school building. From the public parking, there is an elevator to the main square of the Arts Campus. The school building is one of three buildings in the square.
Ground floor – Entrance lobby and theater hall
Floor 1 – Offices and two rehearsal spaces
Floor 2 – Workshop and study classrooms
Floor 3 – Exit to the rooftop terrace
Additional accessibility measures
Accessible toilets on all floors, wide and accessible doors, audio aids for hearing impaired, Accessible website, disabled parking in the accessible parking lot and elevator to the school floors, speech unit for accessibility in the building elevator, and access routes including handrails, stair treads, window marking, wheelchair ramps, etc.
Website accessibility
This website complies with the requirements of the Equal Rights Accessibility Standard (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013.
Accessibility adjustments were made according to Israeli Standard recommendations (Standard 5568) for internet content accessibility at AA level and WCAG2.0 international document.
The website is designed to be viewed on popular browsers, tests have been conducted for the highest compatibility with Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer browsers and for browsing on mobile phones. The site provides semantic structure for assistive technologies and support for the standard keyboard operation with arrow keys, Enter, and Esc to exit menus and windows. The website was developed by Fatfish with developments by programmer Taya Sourikov. Pressing CTRL + U can open the website’s accessibility menu at any time. For the best browsing experience with screen reading software, we recommend using the latest version of NVDA.

Website Accessibility Statement – Operating Instructions
We believe that everyone deserves to enjoy visiting our site, and therefore strive to make the site clear, accessible, and user-friendly, enabling easy navigation for users utilizing assistive technologies. The site was designed to comply with the accessibility guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium at the AA level.
Keyboard navigation
You can navigate and use the site using only the keyboard. To activate keyboard navigation, press the TAB key. Pressing TAB will take you to the next link (highlighted in yellow), and pressing SHIFT + TAB will return you to the previous link. Pressing the Enter key will activate the various links.
In forms where options can be selected – choosing the option is done using the arrow keys on the keyboard (up/down). In media presentations on the site (images/videos), you can switch images using the arrow keys on the keyboard (right/left).
Accessibility options menu
The accessibility menu is adapted for Explorer 10 and above, Chrome, and Opera browsers. In Firefox and Safari browsers on Mac computers, you must enable keyboard navigation in the browser settings menu. Pressing the TAB key will activate the accessible navigation option on the site. At the top of the site, the following options will appear:
Accessibility Statement – Open the website’s accessibility statement text.
Skip to content – Start navigation from the main content area of the page (skip navigation options at the top).
Skip to menu – Start navigation from the main site menu.
Skip to search – Go to the search box on the site (if a site search option exists).
Skip to cart – Go to the shopping cart area (if there is a store on the site).
High contrast mode – Change the site’s color palette to suit colorblind individuals and visually impaired.
Text enlargement on the site
You can change the size of texts on the site using the CTRL + keys or using the options menu in the browser (zoom).
To enlarge text on the site: use CTRL + keys.
To reduce text on the site: use CTRL – keys.
To reset the text on the site to its original size: use CTRL 0 keys.
Text color and background color
Clicking on the “High contrast mode” button in the accessibility options menu cancels the site’s color scheme and background images. Texts will appear in black on a white background.
Site content
The content on the site includes standard marking of headings, tables, paragraphs, lists, links, forms, and buttons. Images on the site include alternative text descriptions (ALT) if they are meaningful. The forms on the site are accessible to screen readers and keyboard users.
Areas of content from other sites may appear on the site within iframes. The accessibility of these areas depends on the hosting site, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility. For example, sharing buttons and comment boxes from Facebook, checkout pages from a third-party provider, or any other plugin integrated into the site’s content.
Additional accessibility aids
The site is adapted for viewing on mobile devices (responsive). The site uses USERWAY for navigation and use of the site with screen reading software.
