Lior Pinsky is an artist and musician born in Jerusalem, graduate of the New Music department of Musrara School of Art. Lior creates music based on experimental electronics, stage works, installations, keyboards, and strings. Lior is interested in field recordings, texts, concrete music, mechanical and electronic mechanisms, records, and impressions. The elements of his works exist and disappear, untangled, into the ever-transforming space, while movements and voyages are created within the musical-performative piece, and continue beyond it.
“I regret almost every word I said, and certainly words I wrote. For the I who uttered them then is no more, yet the memory of the words remains. And how can I trust the listener to understand that the words belonged to that moment, and not to the person? Therefore, I would rather not call anyone, anywhere. I would rather read them a book or play them a song. This way is more comprehensible, it’s easier.”
