Tomer Fruchter is a visual artist operating on the seam between installation and photography, living and working in Tel-Aviv. Graduate of the photography department of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and is currently participating in the MA program of the Dutch Art Institute, Arnhem. His works treat patterns of thought and action through observation of personal, physical, and mental spaces.
“I look at dogs who get to go for two or three walks a day, finding myself jealous of them. We too deserve to go outside! We too need a walk! ׳Walking the Dog׳ is a ritual aiming at calibrating our inner navigation system. We shall go out for a group walk in order to exercise the method principles, become acquainted with the basic mantras and our inner rhythm which will lead us throughout apparent and invisible spaces. I am interested in the conscious space awakened by moving along familiar paths, and its potential to serve us as a shelter from the world. I am interested in examining how we could remain together in this space, listening to it.”
