Moshav

The school’s Living Gallery opens a new season with the first exhibition in its series, “Moshav” – the result of a collaboration between artist Tchelet Ram and first-year students at the school.
Over the past weeks, Ram and the students held a series of conceptual meetings, hands-on material workshops, and installation sessions. The exhibition is the culmination of an experimental model of artistic mentorship. It exists on the seam between a solo and a group exhibition, blurring the boundaries between the artist’s unique imaginative drive, the autonomous force of the artwork, and the collective desire to realize a continuous space shaped by shared intention.
Moshav invites visitors to consider the gallery as a space for presence and dwelling. It focuses on notions of comfort and discomfort, which Ram and the students explored through questions surrounding the relationship between art and its use, the body and its encounter with sculpture, and the inanimate object as not entirely still.
