Worlds, a Canaan-Futuristic Song Cycle

A look back at a work from the recent past. In 2019, moments before a global pandemic and a catastrophic war, I was thinking about the future in Israel. Today I revisit my former self, gazing toward an imagined future.
Worlds, a Canaan-Futuristic Song Cycle is a performance of images and imaginations, in search of new notions of the self and the community, and use them in order to reimagine a levantine, middle-eastern, mediterranean, sweaty, radical, feminist, transgressive, poetic, refusing closure, non-western, non-jewish, non-holy, fresh, understanding history, looking at archeology, engaging with technology, fragmented, embodied, hopeful, angry, sci-fi, punk, pop, Israeli future.

Ana Wild is a performance and installation artist, a graduate of the School of Visual Theater (2011) and the DasArts Master’s program in Amsterdam (2015). Wild is interested in voice, in speaking, in the organization of knowledge, in anthropology, history, mythology, poetry, graphic design, electricity, in creatio ex nihilo, in miracles, tricks, musicality, in understanding, in cyclicality, in Hebrew, English, French, in translation, print, magic, adventure, friendship, and power.
In 2018, she was an artist-in-residence at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, and in 2022 she was in residence at Artport Tel Aviv. In 2025, Wild serves as co-artistic director of the Performance Conference and of the Musrara Mix Festival. She teaches at the School of Visual Theater and in the New Music Department at Musrara.
