In this course, we will learn, experience, and work with the School of Visual Theatre’s building as a partner in creation. Through artistic actions, we will explore the gap between the planner, the planning function and the daily actions of the users. We will examine how the building responds to its content and its ability to sustain various types of relationships, such as shield, shell, shelter, observation point, stage, platforms, clothing, hiding place, law, guide, direction, decoration, and a “transparent” model for events. Students will be exposed to works and texts and will engage in various exercises that arise from the building and the ways in which creation emerges within it.
