In this course, we will seek to dedicate ourselves to thinking about the deed of art. However, instead of offering a historical, conceptual, and developmental overview of the concept of Art along a continuous, linear, and chronological timeline, we will attempt to examine the deed of art through a range of interpretations that do not consolidate into a “theory” in the sense of a systematic or structured set of claims. In this sense, we can say that the deed of art does not merely function as an object for contemplation within the course; rather, a certain interpretation of it already outlines, loosely and temporarily, the conceptual contours that serve as its framework – at least as far as suspicion of “system” and the complication of historical-chronological temporality may be what the deed of art has always called upon thought
