Eran Shani is a dancer, performance artist, fashion designer, and costume designer for stage productions.
He holds a BA and MA in fashion design from the Royal Academy of Fashion in Antwerp, under the management of Walter Van Beirendonck. He has worked as a designer at Christian Wijnants in Antwerp and ACNE STUDIOS in Paris and Stockholm. Since 2018, Eran has managed an independent fashion brand called ERRANT, operating between Tel Aviv-Jaffa and Paris, and has participated in Tel Aviv Fashion Week and an exhibition at Paris Fashion Week, collaborating with various artists and designers.
Eran has worked as a dancer and creator with the Batsheva Ensemble and choreographer Yasmin Godder, collaborating as both a costume designer and rehearsal director. Since his studies in Belgium, Eran has maintained a close connection to the stage world, working as a costume designer in collaboration with various dance and performance creators. He has also created his own stage works presented in Antwerp and the Bat Yam Museum as part of the Diver Festival, combining fashion shows and dance performances. In his work as a creator, dancer, and fashion designer, Eran operates at the intersection of fashion, dance, and performance, blending practices and creative processes drawn from these different mediums, utilizing his extensive experience in each of them.

In this workshop, students will practice a personal creative language by collecting ideas in soft materials and creating a collage of images. Each week, students will fill journals with images and ideas, using them to develop our design muscle. Our outlook will be broadened by a variety of starting points for thinking about design. By integrating knowledge from the fashion world, including machine and hand sewing, pattern construction, basic understanding of textiles and fabric selection, and the development of functional details, the workshop will connect visual and theatrical ideas and explore design from different perspectives. The workshop aims to develop the ability to read, feel, and talk about clothing and accessories, creating a visual language for creation and performance.
