The Living Gallery at The School of Visual Theater presents the exhibition True Time. From the moment the exhibition opens until it closes, the works continue to develop. Like a television series whose plot unfolds from week to week, each of the works on display has three episodes — that live and change over the course of the exhibition.

In a special event for the Performance Conference, the third and final episode will be presented, with a lecture by archaeologist Prof. Raphael Greenberg and a live performance by artist and musician Noga Shalit Glik taking place between the three works.

Omer Sheizaf presents The Invisible Man Remembers: the boy from On Sarig’s book series takes stock of his life. Still able to see without being seen, Danidin has no body — he is the theatrical effect itself, bringing the traumas of his life back to life. The third episode, “House of Kathros,” sees Danidin reckon with his parents and with Dr. Kathros, who is responsible for his disappearance.

Yael Bartana’s trilogy And Europe Will Be Stunned concludes with Zamach (Assassination) (2011). Sławomir Sierakowski, leader of the Jewish Renaissance Movement in Poland, is assassinated, and a state memorial ceremony is held in his honor in the city square.

Dori Cohen Forster’s After follows Maya Deren and Alexander Hackenschmied into the time loop of their film Meshes of the Afternoon. In the film, a woman returns home and becomes trapped in a symbolic and enigmatic dream structure in which time folds in on itself. Layers of images, objects, sound, text, and actions accumulate over the silent film.
