Amit Drori

Amit Drori, artistic director and CEO of HaZira, is a director and set designer. A graduate of the School of Visual Theater (2001), he has been teaching at the school since 2006. He received the Rosenblum Award in 2010. In his works, Drori creates intensive and poetic live performances based on human performers alongside robotic objects, built by Drori and his team, each uniquely crafted by hand. His work blurs the boundaries between theater, performance, and installation. His creations have gained recognition both in Israel and internationally, with presentations in over 20 countries. Drori's works are based on long-term development processes and international collaborations.

A practical course in which we will learn and practice fundamental principles in artistic development, directing, design, and performance. In the first semester, we will focus on the tradition of puppet theater, and in the second semester, we will explore the deconstruction of the medium and engage in interdisciplinary thinking.
