Shahar Kedem
Shahar Kedem is an independent creator who explores the place of functional objects in different living environments, examining cultural aspects of materials and material environment, food, and culinary thought. He is a co-manager of the family business "Asaf Winery” in the Golan Heights. A graduate of the Industrial Design program at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and the online program of the Dutch Invertuals Academy. He is an external lecturer in the Industrial Design department at H.I.T Holon.
In this course, we will learn how to work with various materials, tools and techniques, through practical training in the school’s workshop. We will dive into an In-depth learning of tools and machines, get familiar with the characteristics of different materials, and think about how different materials present on stage. Through hands-on projects and physical actions in the workshop, we will explore the possible dialogue with a wide range of materials, expressing them in the creation of a functional object.
