Nights of Beirut

An event with songs, stories, and melodies

A summer evening settles over the Middle East, the place we all call home. We will gather and sing together, add another stick to the fire, and wonder what could have been. We won’t miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Through musical and textual traditions, both local and distant, the performance draws a line between the fear of the unknown and a longing for that which has already been forgotten, in a constant movement between laughter and seriousness, a smile and a tear.
