Album of Days

A music-performance piece about capturing time and connecting with the distant and hidden past. By digging up old images and memories, Naomi calls out to her family members across generations, attempting to solve the famous problem debated by mathematician Albert Einstein and philosopher Henri Bergson: Is time a physical-scientific dimension or a human concept in which events occur in a continuum of past, present, and future? Is imagination the only refuge from the passage of time? Naomi seeks the answer through impossible encounters with her ancestral tribe a tribe of storytellers, characters to whom she is necessarily connected despite never having met, and those whom she has known and are no longer here.
